Our Ladies plus One

We have too many chickens to name, so we've given them names by breed.   Pictured here are Lucy, our Rhode Island Reds and Ethel, our Barred Rocks.  Both are great layers, laying large brown eggs. 

Marilyn is our Buff Orpingtons.   One of our favorites, they're one of the more calm breeds, and sweet too.  They also lay brown eggs.

I'm pretty sure Cher is an Australorp.  They're great egg producers.  Providing us with more large eggs.

Stayed tuned for a better picture.  Myrtle are our Americaunas.  One of our favorites because of the colorful blue/green eggs they lay.  And, they're cute puffy cheeks.

These two are from eggs we hatched ourselves this year.  Lady Gaga is our Lavender Americaunas and lay pretty blue eggs.  Bette is our Blue Copper Maran, they lay chocolate eggs....yep dark brown eggs. 

Roo Roo is our lavender americauna rooster.  He keeps the flock organized and compared to most roosters he's pretty easy-going.
